Naquadah Transport (Stargate Resistance)
Naquadah Transport is all about the player experience, team players please apply ! We are a friendly Command accepting newbies into our clan.
For storyline purposes, Naquadah Transport is doing exactly that, Transporting Naquadah! This way we can play as SGC or SL under the premise that we have Naquadah to transport. The winners take the Naquadah home !
We plan to host the Naquadah Cup this Fall ! another unofficial SGR tournament ! the rules for each round are displayed in our command forum as a sticky.
The format was originally conceived by Realazthat and many other clans have used the rules of engagement as a template for Clan Wars. (http://forums.stargateworlds.com/showthread.php?t=36275)
Going back in Time... SGR had just been released and I played with HammondOfTexas Daily. We named the Command [NOT] as a play on words, standing for Naquadah :O: Transport (with the Gate emoticon in the middle).
Once we had 5 members we registered and put the website out: http://www.NaquadahTransport.co.uk
Several people from other games I play joined our Command and we registered on the Official Command Forums. We all picked names that were canon for effect in game. I picked Kurt Russell originally becuase i am NOT Kurt Russell, more word play. My Girlfriend picked Hammond-Of-Texas to everyones surprise when they find she is actually a woman ::)
The website has received major updates - Each page has a different Theme and there are many images of note in the Gallery. A video project was recently started so we have have lots of high quality gameplay videos. You can check out the game videos on our new video page. We are currently recruiting - you can sign up for NOT on the command website.
We are on Teamspeak with the other Regular players Daily and we never Rage Quit ! We had our own teamspeak back in February but now we only use the "ts.replayirc.com" SGR channel !
We are always up for Clan matches provided our Clan mates can make it, we have battled SGMC and been challenged by SGU and 5th Commands. (dates for engagements to be set)

Interview:
1. Can you describe your clan?
We are a UK based Stargate Resistance Command, Naquadah :O: Transport (the :O: represents the Gate). The founding members are [NOT]_Kurt_Russell and [NOT]Hammond-of-Texas. All our current members live in the same town, near Gloucester Spaceport ::) We contribute images and video to the community and take part in unofficial clan wars. We do not quit when losing and promote fair play on the battlefield.
2. Why did you choose this name for your clan?
Naquadah Transport evolved out of a play on words. Many clans were popping up following the games inception, we were not in a clan so we put on the [NOT] tag. After more people joined the Command we evolved the NOT acronym to represent an unaligned faction from the TV show. The website was drawn up at http://www.naquadahtransport.co.uk for members to track their stats and find community links/features easier. There is a degree of role play in our clan, we ask all members to don the name of a character or actor from the Stargate Franchise. In the Stargate SG-1 Season Eight episode “Prometheus Unbound”. Oranian smugglers Tenat and Jup intended to trade a case of refined weapons-grade Naquadah for the Prometheus, which Vala Mal Doran stole from Stargate Command.
In the examples of underground Naquadah Smuggling in SG1, these smugglers are not aligned with the System Lords or the Stargate Command Faction. Naquadah Transport is one of many factions hinted at in the TV show who are using Naquadah for their own purposes, basically freelance mercenaries, privateers and smugglers.
3. What is the different between you and other clans?
Most clans/commands have a K/D ratio cap, so to say that you must be at a minimum of 1.0 or 2.0 (varies from clan to clan) In Naquadah Transport we are welcoming newcomers to the game, we encourage newbies to take part in team formations and tactics.
This improves their game faster and the enhances the game experience. Stargate resistance is a Team game for the most part, and learning to use the classes effectively is not as easy for some. We look at more than just k/d ratio's, we want to have fun in the game killing the enemy and winning rounds. As such we look for team players first and try to promote group formations with others in game.
4. How can I join your clan?
You can join our clan by contacting us in game, emailing Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist gegen Spambots geschützt! JavaScript muss aktiviert werden, damit sie angezeigt werden kann. or by using the contact form on http://www.naquadahtransport.co.uk. Just fill out the form, we will need your Player ID as we add all our players to our members area, all stats and links are located/linked from there.
5. Do you organize any kind of RP projects?
We organised the First SGR Real-Life Meet ! approx. one month ago. We have an internal ranking structure with awards for players reaching landmarks (i.e. clan achievements) which are unofficial to the game. Other than this we do not actively have any role play features deployed, although we have many plans for the future of the clan website.
6. If yes, what are the specs for the user?
full details will be announced on our website soon.
7. What is the structure of your clan?
Command Leader: [NOT]_Kurt_Russell, First Officer: [NOT]Hammond-of-Texas. All other players form 3 person groups in game.
8. Do you play other games with your clan?
Most of our members play Eve Online regularly and are part of a Player Corporation. Many of our players come from a history in FPS, Counterstrike, COD etc.
9. What is your opinion about "SGR"?
SGR is a game that keeps you coming back for more. The community is awesome, the dev team is more invloved than any other we have known. The game itself is very well balanced, with each patch released improving the balance based on player feedback or adding new content and pushing the balance of power to the current losing faction. Since its release the SGC faction had always been stonger on the Galactic Domination map. This has been corrected allowing for even greater games with more balanced gameplay. Its an easy game to pick up and at only $20 its a steal. More Maps and weapons are planned for release, NOT is waiting with great anticipation ! SGR has done nothing but improve steadily since its initial release.
10. Do you have some quotes about your clan written by your clan members?
[NOT]Hammond-of-Texas: "we are NOT. A clan."
[NOT]_Kurt_Russell: "Give my regards to King Tut! ....."
[NOT]Macgyver: "NOT, part of the SG franchise :)"
[NOT]Anubis: "NOT, available for comment!"
[NOT]Bratakoftulac: "NOT pro! I am the newbie, you gotta check SGR out!"
